Aloha beloved 'ohana,

Welina, (Greetings) from Maui. We are preparing to gather together for the Maui Immersion, Feb. 10-15, 2012. A joyous celebration to come together with surprises in the moment.

If you are planning on coming, the cost is $1,300.00 due by December 15th 2011. The cost includes daily lunches, opening dinner & celebration, wisdom teachings, entrance fees, visits to sacred sites & more.

You are responsible for air & ground transportation, lodging. Some of you that are traveling in groups, may want to share costs in house or transportation rentals.

For the immersion, please bring the following items:

Water from your land (ocean, stream, rain etc.)
Small pebble (ili'ili)
Kihei for ceremony (ceremonial garment that is worn in honor of our sacred connection to the land, the ancestors, the Divine)

Be prepared with all the things that will make you comfortable. Drinking water, sunscreen, hat, towel, swim wear, walking shoes, reef shoes, bug repellent, journal, your medicine bag, camera, shorts, kihei/sarong for ceremony, light jacket, layered clothing for different kinds of weather, snacks, medication, joy, aloha, smilles...

Due to several requests, we are also offering a journey to Lana'i Feb. 17 - 20, 2012 for interested individuals. Cost is to be determined which includes, teachings from kupuna, wisdom keepers, cultural practitioners, ceremony, roundtrip travel by ferry to the island of Lana'i, ground transportation, housing and some meals.

Kawehi and Debbie Ryder will be our 'ohana on Lana'i. They are cultural practitioners who share their mana'o and no'eau with many youth, adults and communities in Hawaii and the world. Much of their focus is teaching hands-on cultural approaches to the restoration of Maunalei and Kahalepalaoa.
